Realty AppMap allows you to find real estate services by tag or by location. It came about as I was writing a blog post at Realty Thoughts and started to wonder why so many web-based real estate companies were on the West coast. That thought then made me wonder about the locations of the many bloggers that I read and know, so I started to plot them on a map.
What good is a static map or a spreadsheet in our day and age though? Why not make this into a mashup? So, using some of the time that we had around the holidays, myself and a few self-selected members of the eppraisal.com team had some fun and put this together.
We used the Web 2.0 Innovation mashup as our inspiration. There are still a few bugs that we're working out - one of which is that if a company has no blog, it still says "blog" in the entry. Also, if you find the name, address, or URL of your company is wrong, just email us and we'll fix it.
